I should admit I am not a surfer and considering I live in the right heart of Europe, it is unlikely I will ever be one (except of a basic trial one day before I am too old : ). My love is kiteboarding (preferably sea version) and I am happy if I can spend at least a summer holiday at a kite spot.
I bought the Surf Skate Program for the following reasons:
To learn a bit more about surfing generally and also specifically in terms of the surfing body movement.
To learn surf skating to experience the surfing movements at least via street surfing (no matter where I am and what season it is).
The program met my expectations in terms of surfing basics and surfing movement. I am sure it also helped me improve my surf skate „style“ and effectiveness as well as the surfing-like experience during the training sessions. The program is well structured and its length is not intimidating so it is easy to jump in and follow the short lessons. On the other hand, I expected for the price paid more methodology/explanations in some videos (some were pretty short) and some more training drills and recommendations. Although I was aware that this is a surf skate program for surfers, I somehow thought I could learn a bit more about surf skating and its techniques… but this is probably the task for a surf skate-specific program. Apart of the program I felt inspired by the surf fitness resources you provide. It is a great tool to keep me fit not only for surfing but also for kiteboarding or generally for longevity purposes… so I will definitely include it into my fitness regime.
To conclude it, al in all nevertheless some of my reservations I am happy I purchased the program and learned new things as well as got inspired : )!

I knew I did the poo man but didn’t know how to fix it. I have been doing the pop up programme as well as the skate and cardboard programme.
I have changed my stance and it feels great. Skating much better in the bowl and just had my first surf since training. Best surf ever at 57 years old. Never too late.

The Surf Skate program has been a proper godsend for me. I’ve been surfing on and off for years, but live inland so I’d probably consider myself a lower-intermediate surfer. This course has helped me to drop some rubbish habits and gain some solid habits for when I’m able to hit the waves. Each video is short enough to keep your attention but in-depth enough to let you fully understand what’s going on. Then I can then go out on my board and re-watch a video on the app if I need to. It’s been amazing to make everything muscle memory, which has properly helped me when I’ve gone back out in the waves.
Surfing aside, it’s helped me get comfortable skating vert again at the skate park. I’ve literally been out on my surf skate every day for the last month because of this course. Mega appreciate it, mate. Thanks again!

I’m a wrong side of 50 surfer, with a desk bound job Monday to Friday. The surf is 90 minutes away and I’m lucky if I get one surf a week. Improvement is tough with that limited amount of time in the water. I’d been stuck in intermediate (lower) land for some time, but always frothing keen to get out there and to improve my surfing.
The Surf Skate program has been fantastic. I’ve got my board (Carver). It was so long since I had been on a skateboard, but it’s been soooo much fun getting into it again. Three plus times a week I can get out on the Carver and practice, even for 30 minutes a session.

i can honestly say that the surf skate program has helped my surfing a great deal. cris did not teach me how to skate, he helped me refine my body movements to improve my time in the water. it taught me that small variations in just a simple hand position can really enhance your surfing. i really cant thank cris enough and wish i would have found this 20 years ago. also, if you need help with your shoulders or hips you should check out his other programs as well. i haven’t ever moved this well in my life and i was a college athlete. get on it people!

I just finished the Surf Skate program (although I am continuing to refer back to it every time I skate). I bought a surf skate a few years ago and have spent time practicing for surfing. Within a couple lessons of this program my stance and control changed dramatically! I am no longer doing a “poo man stance” or wiggling. I am more focused and aware. It has helped me break some bad habits in surfing I didn’t even know I had. I highly recommend it.

I’ve used the surfskate videos to dial in my skating when I’m not able to surf. It’s a GREAT training tool and keeps you focused of using it for improving your surfing! Little things like the coffee cup trick and getting super low even though you don’t need to on a (surf)skateboard.
I wish I’d have had this when I first started with my surfskate. Would’ve saved me a lot of time and some skin! But even if you’re already surfskating proficiently the program will still teach you something.

I’ve been surfing like 12 active years and I have stopped surfing constantly because Sweden doesn’t have the best conditions. (Ecuador vs Sweden) Anyways, I have learned surf skate from scratch and this program has given me the best outcome.
